Lima, N.Y. - The Livingston County Sheriff's Office ticketed a driver for following too closely in a deadly crash Monday afternoon in Lima.
On Monday afternoon, investigators said Russell Mosher rear-ended a van driven by Michael Cole, 43, on Routes 5 and 20.
Deputies said Cole was stopped in the roadway to make a left turn. The impact from the rear-end crash sent Cole's van into oncoming traffic, and his van crashed head-on into a tractor trailer, according to investigators.
Cole died at the scene.
Mosher and the driver of the tractor trailer suffered minor injuries in the crash.
