Alden, N.Y. – Ed Laraby, the man recently charged in a cold case, is now saying he can help police solve 14 others.

Laraby was charged in July for the murder of Stephanie Kupchynsky, a Greece music teacher killed in 1991.

He is currently incarcerated at Wende Correctional Facility on other charges.

In a letter to 13WHAM News from prison, Laraby claimed to have reached out to several police agencies offering to provide information on more than a dozen cases in exchange for medical treatment at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Laraby has been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Greece Police Chief Todd Baxter called the claims "credible" enough to merit investigation.
