Rochester, N.Y. – The last of three memorial services for murdered RIT professor Edline Chun was held Saturday.
People gathered at St. Mark and St. John Episcopal Church to remember Chun, 73, who was found dead in Tryon Park Feb. 6. Police say she was shot to death in her home.
Chun was an avid volunteer and advocate in the Beechwood neighborhood. Her friend Cindy Rasmussen, the rector at the church, said this service was held partly to honor that commitment.
“Hope is alive in Beechwood,” Rasmussen said. “Even though this was a horrific event that happened on the streets of our city, there’s resurrection that can come out of this.”
