Geneseo, N.Y. – Geneseo Police say eleven SUNY Geneseo students have been charged with hazing after a women’s volleyball gathering last weekend that included underage drinking.
Police say around 8:00 a.m. Sunday they received a report of an 18-year-old female SUNY Geneseo student taken to NOYES Memorial Hospital for alcohol poisoning. The student was allegedly drinking at the gathering on Court Street.
Police say they discovered approximately eight victims were summoned to 36 Court Street and allegedly blindfolded, handcuffed and ordered to drink alcoholic beverages.
Police say the victims were freshman on the SUNY Geneseo Women’s Volleyball team and are all under the age of 21.
The below individuals were charged with Hazing in the First Degree and Unlawfully Dealing with a Child in the First Degree.

Carissa Gagliardi, age 19, from Wantagh, New York
Megan Johnson, age 19 from Moriches, New York
Laura Rahab, age 21 from East Northport, New York
Courtney Long, age 20 from Rochester, New York
Megan Reed, age 21 from Horseheads, New York
The defendants are scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on Tuesday, October 9 at 5:30pm.
The volleyball team has been suspended from games and practice until the investigation has been completed.
