Webster, N.Y. - Residents and officials drove past the Lake Road barricade Tuesday morning, a day after 33 homes were forced to evacuate.

“We had a little bit of an idea what was going on,” said Bradley Eisenhart, one resident forced to evacuate, “we had bits of information trickling in.”

Eisenhart and his family were getting updates mainly through text messages. Their cable and phone lines were down during the ordeal.

“We were told to leave, and couldn't go back,” said Eisenhart.

Eisenhart and his family were picked up by the SWAT team around 10:00 a.m. Monday, leaving their home that’s just four houses away from the seven that burned.

Getting home Tuesday was something Eisenhart and his family were grateful for.

“I think the community pulls together in times like this,” said Eisenhart. “Just a terrible thing that a lot of families aren't going to be able to have Christmas like they planned on this year, our hearts go out to them, our prayers go out to them. And all the victims families and all the first responders, they did a fantastic job.”
