I am so happy for this family, just as I am for many of the families who have been helped by Extreme Home Make Over. I just wish it wasn't so hard to submit or apply for their consideration on a home that needs help. I would realy love to see them in Webster, NY! I'd love to be able to meet Ty and the entire home design team. They are all so awesome.

They always do great work. I have to wonder sometimes, however, if they don't get just a little carried away at the size of some of the homes and who will pay for the ongoing maintenance, heating, etc. of the oversized house. It would be very nice to see these homes use more and more energy conservation products to help publicize them so others who what the show can learn, including solar water heaters, exterior solar shades, solar space heating devices, and so on. I'll second storminsgirl - I know of this family and they really could not have picked a more deserving and wonderful family. They really are terrific people!

I WOULD LIKE TO SAY COGRATS TO THE FAMILY. I HOPE THEY ENJOY THEIR NEW HOME IT WILL BE LOVELY CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT ON TV. Will people please stop ragging on CR? Good grief, the last comment he wrote for this article was August 4th! If you don't like his comments, ignore them! Attacking another poster here is a violation of the standards set up by WHAM and could be removed!

I totally agree with "BeThoughtful”! People who think negatively like CR will always look for that one miniscule bit of negativity and criticism in every story. Those types of people will never be happy and will never get enjoy the life to its potential. They need to be happy on the inside first before they can contribute something of a value to the society (even a useful comment). CR seems like a type of parent which his/her child will get a 99 on the exam, but CR will say "well, it’s not a 100" If CR would have hit the lottery and won $5 million, s/he will be complaining and saying “I wish it was $6 million” grow up please! We have enough narrow minded people in the community.
