Fairport, N.Y. – Musicians played into the night Saturday to benefit local children with serious illnesses.

The eighth annual Fairport Music Festival benefited the Golisano Children’s Hospital. It also included food and games.

Organizer Kathy Clark said the festival is important to everyone in Fairport.

“The community has been behind us 100 percent,” Clark said. “It’s 100 percent community-based – all the people that volunteer, all the organizers – it’s just a really big community event.”
