Fire Damages 3 Buildings At Farm Market

Romulus, N.Y. – One building burned completely, and two others were damaged in a fire at Hollow Creek Farm Market on Swick Road on Thursday.

According to the Seneca County Sheriff'f Office, a building housing refrigerator compressors was a total loss. A nearby grocery store and garage were damaged too. The total loss is estimated at about $40,000.

Owner Emma Swary, 57, was burning a pile of boxes near the compressor house when the fire spread and burned out of control. Romulus and Ovid Fire Departments put it out.

No one was in the business when it burned.

The building was insured.
