Rochester, N.Y. – Firefighters worked for hours to control a fire in a house on South Goodman Street--bringing it under control around 5 a.m. Wednesday.
One person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
Three firefighters were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The fire, at #466 and #468, was difficult because some flames were hidden in stairwells on different levels.
The Red Cross is providing shelter to 12 people after this fire.
The area around South Goodman closed off to traffic will likely be re-opened around 8:30 to 9 a.m.
