(13WHAM News) - Two brothers in Maine have developed a new tool for firefighters--a robotic fire truck.

The remote-controlled vehicle allows firefighters to stay away from the flames and the most dangerous conditions.

The brothers say they came up with the idea while watching coverage of last year's meltdown at the Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan.

Each unit costs $96,000.

Four orders have already been placed.
