(AP) - A passenger who was aboard the Carnival Cruise ship "Triumph" has filed the first lawsuit against the cruise line.
In the nine-page complaint, Cassie Terry of Texas describes her last days on the damaged ship as living in a "floating toilet."
The ship lost primary power after an engine-room fire Sunday.
It took nearly five days to tow it to Mobile, Alabama.
Terry says she and other passengers lived in disgusting conditions, wading through human feces to get to food lines, where she says she had to wait hours for "rations of spoiled food."
Asked what his client was seeking, Terry's lawyer said, "It's too early to put any type of number" on it.
Carnival has offered passengers 500-dollars, a free flight home, a full refund, and a credit for another cruise.
