Rochester, N.Y. – A mother and her 3-year-old daughter have a new home, thanks to the work of Flower City Habitat for Humanity’s “Women Build” team.
The organization spent nearly 2,500 cumulative hours over the last several months constructing the home for Casandra Vargas and her daughter, Arianna.
Vargas was among the many contributors to the home’s construction during that period.
The organization officially dedicated the home Saturday morning, despite falling short of their initial fundraising goal for the project.
Along with her new home, Vargas was also given a new camera and a Bible.
This is the fourth home constructed by Women Build for Flower City Habitat.
