Rochester, N.Y. – A huge, hungry crowd rolled into Rochester’s Public Market for the Food Market Rodeo Thursday night.

More than 20 food trucks parked bumper to bumper to feed hundreds of people who formed 20-minute lines.

“It’s worth it, clearly, the food is great and you have music and you have friends and it’s a good time,” Vickie Fontaine said.

One of the longest lines formed in front of Le Petit Poutine, a popular local food truck.

The owner, Lizzie Clapp, worked furiously inside.

“You’re in for a good show,” she shouted out to a customer who just arrived.

Clapp says the event’s success should convince city leaders to allow food trucks downtown.

Current law prevent food trucks from parking on the street.

“It’s cool to be a part of something that’s really working with the city of Rochester right now and try to do different regulations,” Clapp said.
