Detroit, Mich. (AP) – Two of the nation's big automakers are reporting that sales ran about even last month from a year ago.
GM says its US sales were up 1.5 percent as a big jump in car sales was offset by falling truck sales.
Ford's sales were flat, also weighed down by lower truck sales.
But Chrysler saw an increase of almost 12 percent as the company reported its best September in five years. The company says the increase was due to new models, low interest rates and a stable U.S. economy.
