Gates, N.Y. - A former Gates-Chili basketball coach will be at a pre-trial hearing Friday morning before going to trial next week.
The trial for Monte Nowden is scheduled to begin July 9.
Nowden is accused of having sexual involvement with a student at Gates-Chili High School while outside of school.
He was arrested in February for the alleged sexual involvement.
Nowden was arrested again in May for having contact with the victim in violation of an order of protection.
