Rochester, N.Y. - A seven-year old was the inspiration behind a Sunday fundraiser for kids called "Beauty at your Best."

The event helped raise money for Golisano Children's Hospital.

Seven-year-old Kaitlin Welsher was a lung transplant recipient when she was just a baby.

Her family thought the hospital did such a terrific job caring for her that they returned the favor

“Just to see the smile on the kids' faces at the hospital, to cheer them up for the holiday season…unfortunately, they have to be where they are, but we just hope for the best for them and that they get well and go home soon,” said event coordinator Jeremy Welsher

The fundraiser included a baked goods sale, craft sale and opportunities to create holiday cards for patients and their families.
