Funeral Services For Boxing Legend Carmen Basilio

Irondequoit, N.Y. -  Local boxing legend and former middleweight champion Carmen Basilio was remembered Monday morning at a funeral mass in Irondequoit.

Basilio died Wednesday, November 7th at Rochester General Hospital from complications with pneumonia. He was 85 years old.

Basilio - originally from Canastota -  lived in Irondequoit and was among the first class of hall of fame inductees in 1990, a group that includes Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali. 

His funeral mass - was held at Christ the King Church in Irondequoit.
