Detroit (AP) – General Motors says its November U.S. sales rose just 3 percent from last year.

The nation's largest automaker says it sold more than 186,000 cars and trucks, led by the Buick and Cadillac brands.

Ford says U.S. sales rose 6.5 percent in November thanks to strong demand for its F-Series pickups and the company's new C-Max hybrid.

Ford's results are mirroring the rest of the industry. The sales pace has quickened thanks to rising consumer confidence and continuing low interest rates.

Chrysler says its U.S. sales rose 14 percent last month - its best November since 2007.
