Jackson, Miss. (AP) - A Mississippi congressman is asking the FBI to review the slaying of an openly gay mayoral candidate.
Congressman Bennie Thompson says the family of candidate Marco McMillian wants federal investigators to get involved.
McMillian was found slain last week at a Mississippi River levee.
The family says McMillian's body was "beaten, dragged and burned."
