Charlotte, N.C. - New York State Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is in Charlotte for the Democratic Convention.
She managed to make a guest appearance on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart Wednesday night, however, highlighting the role that women play in the election this fall.
"I think women are fundamentally engaged in this election not only because of the reproductive issues but also the economic issues, equal pay for equal work and access to capital for small businesses," Gillibrand said.
She went on to say there should be more women in Congress.
