Rochester, N.Y. - On Friday, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will announce federal legislation designed to spur growth of science and technology jobs in the Rochester area.
Along with University of Rochester President Joel Seligman, she is scheduled to make the announcement at U of R’s Kornberg Medical Research Building on 601 Elmwood Avenue.
The bill would help scientists and researchers secure valuable resources and training to translate new discoveries into marketable products, new high-tech companies, and jobs.
