Western New York - Fans of Girl Scout cookies will have to wait until next year to get their Thin Mints and Shortbread Cookies.
The Girl Scouts of Western New York council has decided to change cookie sale dates from fall to winter.
The Western New York council is one of only about five in the country that still has fall sales. There are 109 councils across the U.S.
Cookie sales are expected to start sometime between January and March 2014, but no exact date has been set yet.
Judy Cranston, COO for the Girl Scouts of Western New York, says the fall sales sometimes added stress to troop leaders just starting out in the fall.
