Rochester, N.Y. – Police from Monroe and Orleans County conducted raids netting thousands of dollars in drugs and guns.
On February 3, police in Rochester executed a search warrant on a house on Mayflower Street and seized more than $10,000 worth of heroin and cocaine, three stolen handguns, an AK-47 and more than $2,000 in cash. Arrested at the house was Michel Fornaris, 21. He is charged in Orleans County with three counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
Fornaris was taken to Orleans County Jail on $100,000 bail. He faces additional drug and weapons charges in the city of Rochester.
In an unrelated raid on February 4, police stopped a car on I-490 in Perinton on it’s way back from New York City. Officers executed a warrant on the car at a house on Frost Avenue and found more than a half-kilogram of heroin worth more than $200,000 and $3,000 in cash.
Arrested were Arcides Dieguez-Castillos, 46, and Antane Sewar-Lopez, 21, both of Rochester. Dieguez-Castillos faces four counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance in Orleans County, as well as felony drug charges in Monroe County. He was taken to Orleans County Jail with no bail.
Seward-Lopez is charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was taken to Monroe County Jail with no bail.
Further charges are pending in both cases.
The heroin seizure is the largest associated with Orleans County.
