Kansas City, Mo. - As many as 600,000 H&R Block customers could see a delay in the filing of their tax returns.

The company blames a software glitch and says it is working with the IRS to fix the problem.

The glitch involves form 8863, which needs to be filed for student tax credits.

All of the affected returns were filed between February 14 and the 22.

The delay could take up to six weeks.
