Hamlin, N.Y. - Hamlin is one step closer to getting a new library.
The Zoning Board approved the plans at a meeting Wednesday night.
The current library sits between a pizza shop and a bar in a strip mall.
The new library would be built right next to the town hall.
It requires a variance because it will be built closer to the street than what is normally permitted.
The project now makes its way to the Planning Board.
