London - All eyes are on the Olympic City for the Summer 2012 Olympics.

England's capital hosted the games in 1908 and again in 1948.

Thousands turned out to watch the Olympic flame pass the capital's iconic landmarks.

It took seven years of planning and billions of dollars to get to this point. Queen Elizabeth, First Lady Michelle Obama, and GOP Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney are in London
for Friday night's opening ceremonies, for which security will be tight.

Rochester is proud to have several area athletes vying for the gold--among them--swimmer Ryan Lochte, high jumper Jenn Suhr and soccer star Abby Wambach.

Wambach and the U.S. Women's Soccer Team play their next game Saturday, July 29.
They play Columbia at about noon EDT.

Team USA is coming off a 4-2 win against Japan earlier this week.

13WHAM Sports will bring you coverage of the games over the next 16 days.
