Penfield, N.Y. – Several new restaurants are slated to open along Rt. 441 in Penfield.

At 4 Corners, Signature's at Humphrey House and Angus Steak House are just weeks away from serving up meals.

“We’re looking to revive (the Humphrey House) with our own menu, it’s going to be exciting for the public to see that,” said chef and Signature's owner Steve Wilkinson.

Across from Target, two other restaurants are on tap, including a new Jeremiah’s. Jeremiah's still needs approval from the town for the location. The other restaurant is moving into the former Perkins restaurant.

The budding businesses have other restaurant owners in the area excited.

“For me, the more restaurants, the better,” said Joseph McCall, owner of Joey’s Pasta House. “We need to get more people to come to Penfield, instead of leaving Penfield.”

Penfield officials also said several groups have expressed interest in developing a piece of property in Panorama Plaza.

All this news comes shortly after the town board approved South Pointe Cove, a multimillion dollar luxury apartment complex off Empire Boulevard.
