Albany, N.Y. - The state's Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner says it will take months to go through the more than 60,000 comments made during a public comment period on hydrofracking.
During a budget hearing, Commissioner Joseph Martens would not answer questions about if and when hydrofracking will begin in New York State.
Martens says there's no money in this year's budget to do it.
If hydrofracking is allowed, Martens says the DEC would need to add 140 new positions.
