Irondequoit, N.Y. – The Irondequoit Town Board passed a tax agreement Tuesday night that I-Square developer Mike Nolan said he needed to go forward with the project.
The 25-year tax agreement now goes to COMIDA, or the County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency, where it is expected to pass.
Nolan said he hopes to break ground on the project on March 20, and that the first building could be complete by the end of the year.
At the meeting, the standing-room-only crowd overwhelmingly approved of the unanimous vote.
I-Square is a redevelopment project with a stated goal of revitalizing the town’s Titus Avenue area with shops, an outdoor theatre and a new road.
