Albion, N.Y. - New York's Department of Transportation closed a bridge over the Erie canal in Albion Thursday after an inspection revealed safety concerns.
The safety inspection revealed the Route 98 lift bridge can't safely carry traffic.
The bridge will be closed to traffic until repairs are made.
Pedestrians will still be able to use the bridge.
