Brighton, N.Y. – The Jewish Community Center’s annual gala of fellowship went on without a hitch Saturday night.
“Jammin’ at the J” featured food, prizes and plenty of live entertainment. The event, emceed by 13WHAM’s Don Alhart and his son Jon, honored three people for their accomplishments throughout the year.
Daniel Goldstein took home the Young Leadership Award for his involvement with JCC programs. David and Wendy Dworkin and Barbara Lane received the Tikkun Olam Award for making a difference in the world.
“It all comes down to something that we learned when we were younger,” David Dworkin said. “It’s not about donating; it’s about donating your time.”
