Rochester, N.Y.- A Monroe County jail sergeant pleaded not guilty Thursday to felony drunk driving charges.

Sgt. Paul Doser is accused of driving drunk in Hamlin and flipping his car this past May.

A six-year-old child who was riding in the car was not hurt.

Doser also faces reckless driving and reckless endangerment charges.

After the court hearing Thursday, Assistant District Attorney Raymond Benitez said, “I think the situation speaks for itself. You have a 6-year-old involved in a rollover, a motor vehicle collision. You have someone with a .18 blood alcohol content--that alone speaks volumes as to what he did that day, regardless of what his status is in the community--a jail deputy or not.”

Doser has been on administrative leave since the crash.

If convicted, he would lose his job.
