Rochester, N.Y. - People out of work on a long term basis could find work under a new state program.

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced a $6 million grant on Wednesday, to encourage companies to hire people who've been unemployed on a long-term basis.

A state job support effort to help the long term unemployed comes to Monroe Community College on Thursday. Programs will be offered from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.  at the Flynn Campus Center on MCC's Brighton campus.
