(CNN) First Lady Michelle Obama will host the first-ever "kids' state dinner" at the White House on Monday.
A White House press release says she's invited 54 kids between the ages of 8 and 12 from all around the country to the event. The event is part of Mrs. Obama's Let's Move initiative, aimed at stopping childhood obesity.
The menu will feature healthy recipes from the "Healthy Lunchtime Challenge." Parents and children were asked to create healthy, affordable recipes together, and submit them to Let's Move.
After Monday's luncheon, the kids will be treated to a performance by the boy band Big Time Rush.
