Rochester, N.Y. - Bobbie Kugler was sentenced Tuesday to seven to 15 years in prison for setting the Grape Street fire that killed her four children.
Kugler pleaded guilty to four counts of manslaughter.
Kugler admitted that she tried to burn photos of her boyfriend - tossing them on the dresser. She claimed the fire got away from her because she had consumed four 40 ounce bottles of malt liquor and taken two sleeping pills.
"I'm sorry," she told the court, "my four kids are gone forever. I didn't mean for any of this to happen"
Prosecutors say Kugler never intended to kill her children.
"This was a tragedy but by no means an accident. This was triggered by your self-indulgent behavior," said Judge Doug Randall.
Her children - Gage, Greg, Kandee, and Kaiden - died in the February 2012 fire.
