Highland Park, N.Y.- It may not feel like spring outside but the Lilac Festival is just around the corner.
The 10-day free festival at Highland Park runs May 13-22.
This year, the stars of the show, the lilacs, are expected to be in full bloom thanks to a cool, early spring.
There are over 500 varieties of lilacs on more than 1,200 bushes.
The festival also offers musical acts, food vendors, crafts and children’s entertainment.
