Former Livingston County Jail Deputy Arrested

Geneseo, N.Y. – A former Livingston County Jail Deputy was arrested on Friday.

The Sheriffs Office charged Robert J. Schleyer, 32, of Dansville, with Promoting Prison Contraband in the second degree and Receiving a reward for Official Misconduct in the second degree.

It is alleged Schleyer brought contraband into the jail and gave it to inmates.

Schleyer posted the $2,500 bail at Livingston County Jail and will appear in court at a later date.

Schleyer was a five-year veteran of the Sheriffs Office.
