Pittsford, N.Y. – The Lock 32 Whitewater Course held its seventh annual Lockapalooza Saturday.
Rafters competed in rowing, kayaking and whitewater rafting events along a course on the Erie Canal.
Lock 32’s manager, Danny Doran, said the event’s purpose is to raise interest in water sports.
“Our goal with Genesee Waterways and Lock 32 Whitewater Park is to get as many people as possible and bring the sports of kayaking and rowing to as many people as we can,” Doran said.
Lockapalooza continues Sunday with free kayaking lessons.
