Lyons, N.Y. - The Chief Clerk for the Wayne County Surrogate's Court is accused of stealing court funds.
Barbara A. LoTemple, 43, of Canandaigua, was arrested for official misconduct and petit larceny.
Police say she stole the cash between August and October of this year.
The money amounted to less than $1,000.
LoTemple was arraigned in Lyons Town Court, and is being held in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $500 bail.
She is due back in court on January 9.
