Rochester, N.Y. – MCC President Anne Kress told around 20 people Thursday night the school is nearing the finish line for its new downtown campus at a Kodak location next to Frontier Field.
Kress led the first public information meeting to outline the plan at MCC’s Damon City Campus in the Sibley Building.
“I think there have been continuing conversations between [Monroe] county and Kodak about the acquisition, that makes us very hopeful,” Kress said.
Rochester Mayor Tom Richards remains committed to keeping the downtown campus at the Sibley Building.
He maintains imminent renovations will allow the site to meet MCC’s future needs.
Kress thinks next month the Monroe County Legislature will move through the steps necessary for the move.
