Rochester, N.Y. - Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks said Monday she has not decided if she'll make a run for the 29th Congressional District.

Brooks has spoken with people within Monroe County and throughout the district about the possibility of running, and she's still talking with her family.

Brooks said, "I think it's an opportunity to take the priorities we've focuses on here--jobs, economy, taxes, and smaller government-- and really add a voice from a regional perspective to what's going on in Washington. So I'm looking at it, and I hope to make a decision sooner rather than later."

If she decides to not run for the congressional seat, Brooks said she would definitely run for a third term as Monroe County Executive.

Brooks left for Washington Monday. She'll attend a reception at the White House in honor of Women's History Month.

She thinks that her last election was a landslide. Her only opponent, of the Green Party, had over 25% of the vote. Considering that he hardly had even newspaper coverage, Maggie has to learn the truth. She isn't the Maverick that she seems to think she is.

This means she'll have to work, is she kidding. Way in over her head in DC, they will eat her up and spit her out.
