Man Accused In Student’s Beating Death Due In Court

Rochester, N.Y. - The man accused of fatally beating his girlfriend inside her SUNY Brockport dorm room is due in court today.

It is expected that Clayton Whittemore's lawyers will challenge a police search of the 21-year-old and his car at a Thruway rest area. It was was performed just hours after the killing.

It is expected as well that Whittemore's arrest will be questioned.

Whittemore reportedly told authorities he snapped and killed 18-year-old Alexandra Kogut in September.
