Perinton, N.Y. – Monroe County Legislature Vice President Mike Barker announced his candidacy for Perinton Town Supervisor Monday.
Barker is seeking the position of fellow Republican Jim Smith, who will not be running for re-election.
“Supervisor Smith has been a strong government partner and I look forward to continuing his record of good government in the Town of Perinton,” said Barker.
Barker is a Social Studies teacher at Johanna Perrin Middle School in Fairport. He has been an elected official in Fairport since 1992.
