A family in Bergen won $5 million on a scratch-off ticket. Jasvir Kaur and Kamaljit Sembhi were awarded the big check Friday from the New York Lottery. They'll get $3,309,000 after taxes.They don't normally play lottery tickets but they own Alexanders Country Deli on Main Street in Alexander and they sell lottery tickets so they try to play the new games to become familiar with them. The "Multiplier"
scratch-off ticket came out in October and that's when they won. They say life has not changed much and they will continue to work just about everyday. Jasvir says, "He works 7 days a week, I work six days a week," to which her husband added, "I may take a day off."
They have two children. One of them has asked for a used car and they said they will buy him that used car.
