Monroe County No Longer Under A State of Emergency

Chili, N.Y.- Monroe County’s Executive rescinded the Evacuation Order Tuesday morning.

Maggie Brooks also rescinded Monroe County’s declared State of Emergency.

Emergency shelters, which were activated as a result of Hurricane Sandy closed Tuesday morning.  The Dome Arena will remain open until the County Executive is assured that all affected residents are able to return to their homes.

People who used the shuttle service to get to a shelter will be given transportation back to their pick-up location.

The Monroe County Emergency Operations Center also ceased operations at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
