Henrietta, N.Y.--Trucking companies are bracing for what is expected to be an extensive hike in Thruway toll prices.

The proposal is a 45 percent increase for large vehicles; it would be the fifth increase in seven years.

The New York State Thruway Authority is seeking new revenue for general operating maintenance. It is also seeking funds to help pay for the five billion dollar Tappan Zee Bridge Project.

Three public hearings are scheduled for August.

The proposed change could be finalized by October.
