Pittsford, N.Y. - Students at Nazareth College knew what they wanted in the new Math and Sciences Building. They wanted something homey, with comfortable study areas, no desks, a place to cook and eat, and tables instead of desks, so they could study in groups.
Nazareth junior Moudi Hubeishy says Peckham Hall also has state-of-the-art labs, including a cadaver lab. Now students won't have to leave campus to do their Gross Anatomy labs at other colleges.
The $30 million building took just over a year to build. Two thousand students will have science or math classes and labs in the building.
It will be officially dedicated Thursday during a 4 p.m. ceremony.
