Henrietta, N.Y. - Dry Cleaning and dinner service. It's not a luxury hotel. Those are just two of amenities at a new day care that's opening in Henrietta.
"It's a tough decision to decide to go back to work, and leave your child in the care of another," said Paul DeSarra of Webster.
Paul and his wife Erin faced that decision after the birth of their son three weeks ago.
Expressive Beginnings Child Care made their decision easier to make, DeSarra said.
The new facility on Commons Way is run by Heritage Christian Services, Paul's employer. The innovative facility features state-of-the-art technology, including internet monitoring and a fingerprint recognition computer.
The extras don't stop there for parents.
"They all got busy schedules," said Bob Pieters, the president and CEO of Heritage Christian Services. "If they want to drop off their dry cleaning in the morning, they can pick it up when they come back. If they want a meal to go that can be prepared, they can take it home."
It's a day care center that offers laundry service and hot, homemade meals, ready when you pick up your child.
The new facility will accommodate children from six weeks to 12 years old.
The added services provide more comfort to parents like the DeSarras, who are putting the care of their number one priority in the hands of someone else.
"Knowing that they're going to be in great care is a good feeling," Paul DeSarra said. "When you're on the go, you want to make sure he has the best care. It's is really important."
Child care is a new venture for Heritage Christian Services. It is one of the area's largest providers of services to people with developmental disabilities.
Heritage Christian Services opened 27 years ago with one group home.
