Greece, N.Y. - The civil case against a former Greece police officer has been settled, according to a report in the Democrat and Chronicle, but the terms of the agreement have not been made public.

Nick Joseph was off-duty when he crashed into a parked car on Route 390 in 2008. The crash caused a pregnant woman in the parked car to go into premature labor.

Alexis Sharp's baby, Azaria, has suffered medical complications since birth.

Joseph was later convicted of DWI and vehicular assault.

His arrest triggered an investigation into the Greece Police Department,

which ended with the arrest and conviction of then-Chief Merrit Rahn.

Rahn was accused of trying to cover up an investigation into the incident.
