Chicago - Teachers and administrators continue to negotiate for a contract agreement today as the teachers' strike moves into a third day.
One consequence of the strike is the loss of school sports: students are not allowed to practice or play during the strike.
For some of the players, getting an athletic scholarship is the best shot they'll have at going to college.
"This is my important year because it's my junior year,” said one student athlete. “I only got one more year."
The teachers' union says progress is being made but a deal is still a long way off.
